GRG/AGA Young Investigator Clinical Science AwardDeadline: March 21, 2008 Application Instructions/ Award Description The recipient will receive a $3,000 prize. The award will be presented during the GRG Spring Symposium at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW®) 2008 in San Diego, California. ELIGIBILITYQualified candidates are those individuals who have an MD degree and have performed major clinical or outcomes research in the field of gastroenterology and/or hepatology. The recipient must be an active member of the GRG and the AGA at the time of the presentation of the award. Candidates must be independent investigators who have held a faculty position for less than nine (9) years. The award will ordinarily be made to a single individual. In exceptional situations, the awards committee may recommend that the award be divided between two investigators. SELECTION CRITERIAThe award recipient will be chosen on originality, innovative insight into a major scientific problem in gastroenterology, and the significance of his/her work to an area of research in gastroenterology or other scientific or clinical discipline.
